As shared on the home page, my maternal given name is Risa and my known ancestors come from the Druids and Fae of West Cork Ireland and Britain, Mestizo de Sinaloa y Michocan, the Eastern Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. I grew up in San Francisco, California and lived in New York, Los Angeles and Long Beach before taking the international leap, following my heart and genetics and remembering Mexico as my home.
I walked in my sleep as a child, still fly in my dreams and have a familial like connection to the stars with some of my earliest memories being conversing with them telepathically while staring at their light. As a young adult I frequently engaged in purposeful astral travel and I still experience continued, consistent demonstration of claircognizence. While healing from leukemia in my early twenties, both my sensory and intuitive faculties amplified and detoxing from the plethora of pharmaceuticals launched me onto a path of natural medicine. In the year following my final hospital stay, photography and makeup became therapeutic tools at home, allowing the expression of all that was occurring internally. This became the root of my 18 year career as a makeup artist in the fashion and beauty industries.
Ignited by sexual trauma when I was 29, a series of spontaneous spirit initiations followed that illuminated my Druidic ancestry and shamanic inclinations, spending many afternoons in counsel with a circle of oaks in Prospect Park, sometimes engaged with the further portals that exist within Carlos Castenada’s books which appeared on the curb outside my apartment one morning. Through experiencing dream-woven, continued calls to the medicines within the jungles of Mexico, the Amazon and Costa Rica, my relationship with Flora and all of life has allowed me to expand into a greater understanding and experiencing of the multi-dimensionality inherent within how these ancient, ancestral medicines heal. I’m passionate about amplifying their voices and bringing awareness to their existence. After all, I have faerie blood running through my veins.
My presence is transformational by nature as is reflected in my offerings. Over the course of my life I’ve moved through dancing with death both directly and indirectly in ways I couldn’t ignore; I’m a practiced shadow worker, comfortable in and skilled with the dark, born with innate night vision. Aligned with divine time, my essence is woven within the dance of the stars, narrated in whispers of wind blown howls, storms birthing rainbows and the sun pulsing his fire outwards.
The underworld is my playground and the natural world is my home. Supporting highly sensitive beings and those going through awakenings (initiations), is one of the most potent patterns I’ve noticed with those attracted to me and my work. I am fiercely allied with sovereignty and honoring our individualized path to liberated, embodied creation. I am here to empower those that cross my path and amplify the voices many have forgotten how to listen to. My mission is to (re)activate collective wonder, respect, and love for the natural realms and in doing so, one’s natural, wild, self.
